Bacon: Henry’s Hickory House Inc. in Jacksonville is Florida’s largest bacon producer.  About 600,000 pounds of bacon is produced a week.
Bathing suits: Venus Swimwear, the Jacksonville-based maker of bikinis, other swimwear and silk clothing, is the worlds largest manufacturer of junior swimwear.
Beer: Anheuser-Busch Inc.’s Jacksonville brewery is the company’s sixth largest of its 12 U.S. plants.  It typically produces 300,000 cases of beer every 24 hours. 
Beverages: The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. operates production lines of 12-ounce cans, 2-liter bottles and Dasani bottled water in Jacksonville. Jacksonville’s Southeast Atlantic Beverage operates the second oldest Canada Dry franchise in the United States.

Bread: Merita Bakery’s plant produces 1.2 million pounds of bread and buns per week under three product brands. 

Bullet-proof vests: Armor Holdings Co. Inc., the nation’s largest maker of bullet-proof vests, is headquartered in Jacksonville.  It’s largest customer: the federal government.
Cigars: Swisher International Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of cigars and smokeless tobacco in the world, operates in Florida's largest cigar plant in Jacksonville.
Coffee: Maxwell House operates its largest coffee roasting plant in Jacksonville.  The plant produces 1 million pounds of coffee a day.
Contact lenses: Jacksonville-based Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, manufactures Acuvue contact lenses.  It is the industry leader in soft contact lenses. 
Envelopes: Mac Paper Envelope Converters produces 8 million paper envelopes a day.
Eyewear: Jacksonville’s Safe-Lite Optical manufactures prescription eyewear, safety eyewear and sun wear and typically produces 600 pairs of lenses per day.
Paper Tissue: Georgia-Pacific Corp.’s plant in Palatka annually produces 17 million cases of paper tissue products, such as paper towels and bath tissue.  It was the first in the United States to use wood from pine trees to manufacture tissue. 
Pens: Pilot Pen’s only U.S. manufacturing facility is in Jacksonville, which produces 650,000 pens a day.
Rum: Bacardi bottles 95 percent of its U.S. rum in Jacksonville.  The North Main Street plant produces 45,000 cases of rum per day.

Shingles: Owens Corning’s Jacksonville plant produces 60,000 tons of asphalt shingles a year.

 

Wallboard: The United States Gypsum Co. operates one of its largest wallboard plants in Jacksonville. It produces more than 23 million sheets of wallboard annually, enough to build 130,000 average-sized homes.
 
Wheels: Enkei of Florida Inc., which manufactures aluminum wheels at its Jacksonville facility, is a division of one of the world’s largest wheel manufacturer.
